Salma Abdelgelil is Chief Information Officer and Vice President of IT, Africa, Middle East, South Asia (AMESA)
Salma Abdelgelil is the Chief Information Officer and Vice President of IT for Africa, Middle East and South Asia (AMESA) at PepsiCo, a role she has held since February 2020. Salma brings almost 25 years of experience, spanning multiple roles within PepsiCo, including Senior Director of IT in both Jordan, followed by Egypt.
Within her remit, Salma serves as a strategic partner to the PepsiCo AMESA business executive committee, who is responsible for senior stakeholder management, IT demand shaping, technology roadmap planning and driving business value through insightful and innovative IT investments.
Prior to joining PepsiCo in 2014, Salma held multiple roles at Proctor & Gamble, spanning across Finance & Accounting, Information Technology and Global Business Services. Broadening her experience, Salma has also held multiple financial planning roles that include Profit Forecasting and Financial Planning for several core categories.
Salma holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Foreign Trade from Helwan University in Cairo. Outside of work, Salma is actively engaged in women’s networks and passionate about advancing women’s careers in STEM. She is also a certified trainer in project management, coaching and leadership skills. She loves to spend time with family and friends, sharing her passion for food and the great outdoors.
