Haruko Fukuda OBE is the former CEO of the World Gold Council. Following an extensive commercial career in the City, including Senior Adviser at Lazard, Vice Chairman of Nikko Europe Plc, and a Partner of James Capel & Co, she has served on the Boards of a number of major international financial and industrial companies including AB Volvo and the Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust PLC. She was also a Non-Executive Director of Investec Bank PLC, Aberdeen Asian Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC, and Adviser to Braj Binani Group of India. A graduate of Cambridge University, she is an Honorary Fellow of New Hall, Cambridge.
