AIWF Institutional Partner WiSER launches third White Paper on ‘Energy Access for All’

AIWF Institutional Partner WiSER launches third White Paper on ‘Energy Access for All’ 14 March 2022

AIWF congratulates our Institutional Partners at WiSER (the Women in Sustainability, Environment and Renewable Energy Forum) team on the publication of the third WiSER White Paper titled “Energy Access for All – A WiSER Perspective”, now available on Masdar’s website, highlighting the engaging and productive dialogue held at the 2022 WiSER Forum.

“Energy Access for All – A WiSER Perspective” will help accelerate bold action toward inclusive sustainable development by exploring the importance of increasing women’s access to clean energy. The white paper frames the challenges and opportunities relating to this critical issue, and shares positive outcomes that can be applied by others looking to advance clean energy access for women around the world.

Haifa Al Kaylani, President & Founder of the Arab International Women’s Forum, was a key speaker at the WiSER Annual Forum 2022, which informed the findings and recommendations in the White Paper. In her intervention, on the panel on ‘Clean Energy Access and Leadership’, she supported gathering data on efforts and practices relating to women in leadership to provide a baseline and focal point. “Without data, there is no visibility. Without visibility, there is no interest. Policymakers in the private or public sector must have the data to be guided,” she said.

AIWF and WiSER entered into a MoU Institutional Partnership in March 2021 and so far have collaborated on several virtual initiatives bringing the AIWF and WiSER constituencies together to discuss empowerment and inclusion for young women in STEM and sustainable energy.
