The AIWF 15th Anniversary Celebration and Gala Concert took place on Tuesday 26 April 2016 at Kensington Palace in London, from 7 pm – 10 pm, with an invitation-only reception followed by a gala recital, to commemorate the founding of our organisation in 2001.
AIWF celebrated the occasion of its 15th Anniversary with an evening gala recital held at Kensington Palace under the theme, Building Bridges through Culture, bringing together leading Arab musicians with British and international talent to showcase young women artists who, through culture and the language of music, will assist in building bridges between the Arab and Western Worlds. The AIWF 15th Anniversary Celebration and Gala Concert was an important event highlighting the role of the AIWF leadership in the Middle East and internationally over the last fifteen years. The event was an opportunity to celebrate the many achievements and milestones of AIWF and to look with great optimism towards the next fifteen years and beyond as we move forward with our mission to advance the call for women and youth to be real drivers of change in the Arab region. We are proud to have hosted this occasion in collaboration with the Peace and Prosperity Trust, to have featured aspiring and established Arab and British young singers and musicians, and to have emphasised the cultural exchange between the UK, the Western World and the Middle East.
