I was very pleased to attend and deliver a welcome address at the Lean In Equity & Sustainability UAE Network Launch on 7 December 2023 in Dubai, at the kind invitation of Mounia Attiga, Chairman of the Arab Investor Strategic Consultancy Centre and a long time friend and supporter of AIWF. The event was focused on why the gender-energy-climate nexus matters.
All of us present at the launch of the Lean In UAE network care deeply about people, the planet, sustainability and climate change, and we all now look ahead with great anticipation to bringing organisations like ours together to put the key outcomes of COP28 into action.
Lean In will undoubtedly thrive as a network in the UAE, AIWF’s second home and a country which is truly leading the way in the Arab region for gender diversity, equity and inclusion in business, digitisation and sustainability. The Arab International Women’s Forum is honoured to have always maintained exceptionally close links with the United Arab Emirates and its inspiring and eminent women innovators and leaders in government, business, and entrepreneurship.
