AIWF Board Member Ibtehaj Al Ahmadani participates in series of high-level events throughout the region on behalf of the Qatar Chamber 22 November 2024

AIWF Board Member Ibtehaj Al Ahmadani, Chairperson of Al Ahmadani Medical Centre in Qatar, was selected in November 2024 as a Qatar Chamber Board Member and President of the Qatari Businesswomen Forum, Ibtihaj Al-Ahmadani is now a member of the Union’s Board of Trustees and Advisor to the Union’s Supreme Commercial Committee. The announcement came after the summit, held from November 11 to 15 in Cairo and Aswan, Egypt, where Mrs Al-Ahmadani participated in the five-day summit and the accompanying exhibition held in Aswan, which was attended by delegations from 35 Arab and African countries.

Separately, the Qatar Chamber recently participated in the ‘16th Arab-German Health Forum’, organised by the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce (Ghorfa) in Berlin. QC Board Member and Chair of the Health Committee, Ibtihaj Al-Ahmadani, represented the Chamber at the event which focused on exploring Arab-German cooperation opportunities in the healthcare sector. Al-Ahmadani stated that Qatar has positioned itself as a premium global destination for medical tourism, highlighting the development of a wide range of healthcare facilities, including state-of-the-art hospitals, health centers, sanatoriums, and resorts offering advanced treatments.

Qatar Chamber also participated in the 6th Gulf Businesswomen Forum held in the Sultanate of Oman. The Chamber’s delegation was led by Mrs Al-Ahmadani, Board Member of QCCI and Chairperson of the Qatari Businesswomen Forum. The delegation included businesswomen Sheikha Noor Jassim Al Thani, Ms. Hind Khamis Al-Kuwari, Ms. Noor Mohammed Al-Mansoori, Ms. Fatima Ghanem Al-Kubaisi, and Ms. Noora Al-Awlan, Director of the Research and Studies Department at the Chamber. The forum witnessed the presentation of experiences of Gulf businesswomen and two main sessions. Ibtihaj Al-Ahmadani shared in statements on the sidelines of the forum that it was agreed that the Qatar Chamber would host the seventh edition of the Gulf Businesswomen Forum to be held in Doha in the last quarter of 2025, and she called for the formation of a follow-up committee to study the outcomes of the 6th Gulf Businesswomen Forum and follow up on the implementation of the recommendations.
