The Arab International Women’s Forum welcomes Norma Taki, Partner at PwC Middle East, to the AIWF Board 14 November 2022

AIWF’s work is overseen by a Board currently consisting of the President and Founder, the Chair of the Executive Committee, and Board Members from diverse sectors, each bringing a wealth of expertise to the organisation.

The Arab International Women’s Forum (AIWF) has announced that it has welcomed Norma Taki, Partner and Inclusion and Diversity Leader at PwC Middle East, to the Board of AIWF, which was founded in London in 2001 by Haifa Al Kaylani to support women’s economic empowerment and leadership, and advance youth engagement in the MENA region and globally.

From its base in London and from the heart of the MENA Region, AIWF convenes global and emerging leaders from government, public service, business, civil society, academia, and media to create an Arab world where women are empowered to make a positive impact as equals and as leaders, in their communities, in grassroots advocacy, in parliament, in the economy, and in societal development overall. AIWF is supported by longstanding Global Corporate Partners, including PepsiCo, Pfizer, and PwC, and by the invaluable guidance and voluntary cooperation extended to AIWF by the distinguished Members of the Board who over the years have overseen the growth of AIWF’s global advocacy network and international outreach.

Mona Al Moayyed, Chair of the AIWF Executive Committee, said: “Having had the privilege of Norma’s input, participation and expertise at numerous AIWF events and initiatives in the past, we are truly honoured to have Norma as part of the Board and delighted to be able to count on her expertise and energy as we work together to shape the future for AIWF, especially in our development of key initiatives addressing the capacity, skills and leadership of Arab women and young people, which I know is very important to Norma.”

Norma Taki said, “I look forward to interacting with the board members and contributing to the critical and timely work undertaken by AIWF in our region and beyond to elevate women to their highest potential and enabling inclusive and sustainable development of our societies. I am confident that this collaboration and the synergies arising from it will boost our impact towards building a future that Arab women and youth aspire and work for with all their heart and effort.”
