The Sharjah Business Women Council was established under the Amiri Decree No. 8 for year 2002 to support the integration of women in all economic activities.
In December 2010, the Amiri Decree No. 57 granted SBWC the legal personality and legal capacity and it operates under the umbrella of the Executive Office of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah and Honorary Patron of the Sharjah Business Women Council.
