Welcome Reception at LOYAC Headquarters in honour of AIWF’s first ever initiative in Kuwait and the 8th conference in the Young Arab Women Leaders: The Voice of the Future series

The Arab International Women’s Forum was honoured in a Special Reception hosted by LOYAC in Kuwait City on 19 October 2016, on the eve of AIWF’s 8th conference in the Young Arab Women Leaders: The Voice of the Future initiative, AIWF’s first ever event in Kuwait.

Launching the Conference Programme, the Reception provided the AIWF Board with the opportunity to welcome Distinguished Guest Speakers, Global Partners and Guest Delegates of the Young Arab Women Leaders conference, representing no less than 15 Arab countries. AIWF was hosted on this special occasion by the LOYAC Board Members, with a special performance by LAPA Academy managed by LOYAC. 

The Reception commenced with a welcome address by Founder, Chairperson and Managing Director of LOYAC, Ms Fareah Al Saqqaf followed by the AIWF Founder Chairman, Mrs Haifa Al Kaylani, in which she expressed her sincere appreciation to LOYAC and took the opportunity to commend the important work that LOYAC does for the youth of Kuwait, noting that AIWF and LOYAC both share a common mission of empowering and developing the next generation of young Arab women.

Mrs Al Kaylani also took the opportunity to express the deepest appreciation of the Board of AIWF to the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs for its valued support of the Young Arab Women Leaders conference programme in Kuwait, local host and  AIWF Board Member Dr Alanoud AlSharekh, and to acknowledge the invaluable assistance of local partner Ibtkar Strategic Consulting in the preparations of the Welcome Reception and Conference.

The 8th Young Arab Women Leaders conference in Kuwait was held on 20 October 2016 in continued partnership with AIWF Global Partner PwC, and AIWF Global Partners including PepsiCo, PwC, Shell, The Sharjah Business Women Council, Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, Vistra Services and Memac Ogilvy, all of whom were present on this special occasion.
