The Arab International Women's Forum was delighted to welcome AIWF Partners, Board Members, UK Chapter Members and Distinguished Guests to the AIWF 15th Anniversary Get Together Reception on the evening of Thursday 2 June 2016 in London. AIWF received a special invitation from the Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts, AIWF Valued Global Partner, to host AIWF Members and Guests at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower to commemorate AIWF’s 15th Anniversary year at AIWF’s first such gathering of 2016

The Reception was held to acknowledge the role that AIWF plays in building bridges, building business, through the initiatives it offers that promote economic development, international understanding, prosperity and peace. It was also a key opportunity for AIWF to acknowledge with appreciation Current and Founder Board Members, AIWF Benefactor Partner and all Global Corporate and Institutional Partners, Members and friends. Guests were welcomed by Mrs Haifa Al Kaylani, AIWF Founder Chairman, and the reception was attended by the AIWF Board, Members of AIWF, Global Partners and representatives of business, the corporate sector and leading Arab and international academic, economic and trade institutions.

The evening provided members, partners, guests and friends with an excellent opportunity to network as well as receive an introduction and update from the AIWF Chairman on the exciting AIWF 2016 Programme in this very special Anniversary year in which AIWF celebrates 15 years since its inception in London as a development organisation leading the way forward for women.

In her welcome remarks, Mrs Al Kaylani expressed her warmest thanks and appreciation to Jumeirah Carlton Tower for generously hosting the evening’s Reception with special thanks to Ms Katie Benson, General Manager, for her warm welcome and role in the organisation of a splendid occasion, noting Jumeirah’s longstanding and valued support of AIWF and also that AIWF’s inaugural reception had taken place in the very same room in January 2002.

Mrs Al Kaylani was pleased to share the AIWF Programme to date for 2016, which included the second Joint Conference with the International Bar Association in Beirut in collaboration with the Beirut Bar Association in March 2016; the networking and business trip to Tabiano, Italy that brought leading Arab businesswomen together with their European and Italian counterparts (also in March 2016); and the very successful occasion of AIWF’s 15th Anniversary Reception and Gala Concert under the theme Building Bridges through Culture, held at Kensington Palace in London in April 2016 in partnership with the Peace and Prosperity Trust and in the presence of the Trust’s patron, HRH The Duke of Gloucester, and HRH The Duchess of Gloucester.
